It is the thirteenth time when a group of residents of the St. Brother Albert’s Hostel in Przemysl joins a walking pilgrimage of the Przemysl Archdiocese. The group includes a manager of the hostel, Pawel (it is his thirteenth pilgrimage), Marek, Darek, Lukasz, Piotrek and two supporters of the Przemysl Circle.
Before starting a pilgrimage, there was a meeting of the Circle Board and our pilgrims. Drinking coffee and tea and eating biscuits, participants of the meeting talked about things concerning preparations for the pilgrimage. Father Bronislaw Zolnierczyk presented main principles of pilgrimage, which were: to have suitable clothes and comfortable shoes, to be an active member of the community, appropriate behavior in the place of accommodation, gratitude for received help, prayerful concentration and remembrance of pilgrimage intentions. On the third day (6 July) in Sanktuarium Jasnogorskie Matki Bozej Rozancowej in Stary Borek, Board of the Przemysl Circle with President Jadwiga Mikolajczyk joins the pilgrims. The group “Kazimierz,” with which we go, is leaded by prelate Zbigniew Suchy. We cover individual stages until we reach the final point of this day, Niechobrze. Each stage has some subject (rosary, “Let’s look at our vocation” testimonies, upbringing in a family, way of the cross). In Budziwoj, we welcome a regular pilgrim, bishop Adam Szal, who leads the “Kazimierz” group at this stage. In Boguchwala, we meet bishop Edward Bialoglowski, who came from Rzeszow. About 18 p.m. we reach Niechobrze, where, after the Holy Mass, pilgrims are accommodated in private houses. Tomorrow they will continue their march to Czestochowa. We return to Przemysl a bit tired (after 23 km of walking) but content. On 15 July we will go by bus to Jasna Gora to meet our walkers and, after the Holy Mass, we will return together. Henryk Hass |
