On June 17 which is St. Brother Albert’s Day, the St. Brother Albert’s kitchen in Pabianice was consecrated. The soup kitchen, which is situated on Kosciuszki Street 22-26 is giving out 50 meals a day (soup with some meat) five days a week except Sundays and public holidays. The soup kitchen came into being thanks to the St. Brother Albert Help Society, branch in Pabianice with the help of municipal authorities, and especially Town Welfare Centre. After the Mass in the Church of Saint Mary of the Rosary, the parish priest Jacek Gasinski has consecrated the new soup kitchen. The representatives of the municipal and district authorities, journalists and those who benefit from social assistance were present at the opening. The soup kitchen started giving out meals on June 2 but the official opening has been postponed to this special day. It is now the 15th kitchen in our Society.
