Being homeless – try to imagine how it is to have no house, no work, no money, and nowhere to go ... Such fate affects many people that live among us. They cannot live like others; they feel aggrieved and degraded.
You can help themby supporting St. Brother Albert’s Shelters Shelters are an asylum for people in dramatic situation like: - the unemployed expelled from workers’ hostels
- mothers with children abused by their husbands
- those leaving prison or children’s home
- the sick and infirm, rejected by their families
Our Society runs in Poland 60 hostels and night shelters for men, mothers with children, children, the sick and the elderly, in which there stay over 2 700 people, as well as 12 eating places, 3 bath houses and a chemist’s. Half of their maintenance costs is covered by government but they could not exist without the dedication of the society. You can help- by giving food, clothes, shoes, underwear, household detergents, medicines, dressings, other necessary things – please contact the nearest hostel or soup kitchen
- by paying money into the Main Board’s account or into an account of one of the circles of the Society
- by devoting your time and abilities as a volunteer – contact the nearest circle of the Society
- by propagating the idea of helping the homeless in your environment
By supporting the hostels - you are sure that your donations will not be spent on alcohol but will be used economically and reasonably
- you are contributing to improvement in public safety
Why would you to help the homeless?- for Jesus
- because of human solidarity
- for they live in extreme poverty
- because many people do not want to help them
- because sharing with others gives joy
- for you have reached as far as here
