 Our Society have decided to support and take patronage over the Polish Boom Band initiative. The project is run by Prokulturamedia Association from Katowice, and plans to create a band of 7 homeless people, who will prepare a few interpretations of songs by well-known artists invited to participate in the project. Results will then be presented at concerts in Katowice and Lublin, and optionally during a short tournee across the biggest Polish cities. |

On Saturday, 12 November, the Society’s community have gathered on Jasna Góra to thank the Blessed Mother of God for her care throughout 30 years of the Society’s activity and to entrust Her our hopes, plans and work.
Groups from 36 circles were present – altogether there were 840 people, including over 400 individuals to whom help is provided, 11 priests, 4 nuns, members, employees and volunteers.

 We would like to invite everyone to see our exhibition „To our brothers and sisters. 2012” in Wroclaw at Muzeum Miejskie in the City Hall. The exhibition will be open until 4 December. It represents 120 works of splendid Polish visual artists, which have been donated to XII „To our brothers and sisters” Auction. 295 works have been offered for this edition (painting, graphic arts, sculpture, photography), all of which will be auctioned in Rzeszow on 18.03.2012. Zacheta in Warsaw started pre-auction exhibitions; Koszalin, Katowice and Rzeszow are to follow. More information, along with pictures of all works, is available at the Organizer’s website – “To our brothers and sisters” Foundation.

On Wednesday 16 November HE Father Bishop Edward Janiak, the Society’s Church Assistant, celebrated 15th anniversary of his bishop anointment. For this special occasion he conducted a Holy Mass in the Wroclaw Cathedral. Among participants there were representatives of clergy, authorities and communities where Father Bishop is a pastor – foresters, pilgrims, guides and tourists. Homily was given by HE Father Cardinal Henryk Gulbinowicz.
We would like to join to the wishes expressed in the cathedral and ask the Society’s community to pray for Father Janiak.
