We received a sad news about the death of Father Boguslaw Paleczny, the founder of Camillian Social Aid Mission (Kamilianska Misja Pomocy Spolecznej) in Warsaw and one of the most prominent figure devoted to helping the homeless in Poland. He died at age 50 on June 2nd in the Provincial House in Tarnowskie Gory.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, June 6th at 11.00 a.m. in the parish church dedicated to Blessed Virgin Mary Healer of the Sick (p.w. Matki Bozej Uzdrowienia Chorych) in Tarnowskie Gory, in Rozana 2 Street. More information available on the Camillian website.

The First International Football Championship of the Homeless and Sobriety Circles will be held in Wroclaw Market Square between 6th and 7th July. Besides Polish teams, the winners of the Homeless World Cup – representatives from Russia, Scotland, Ukraine and Italy as well as teams from Austria, Holland and Lithuania will take part in the event. We would like to inform that the article "Nowa afera z gruntami Kosciola" (New Scandal with Church Property) printed in Rzeczpospolita on April 23, 2009 does not concern our Society.
St. Brother Albert's Aid Society was set up on November 2, 1981 in Wroclaw and we never claimed refund for any loss of property.
The author of the article does not give the proper name of the society she mentions but uses two different names (one being the name of our Society) interchangeably.
We will ask for a disclaimer in the paper. Once again we have been unjustly accused. Such mistakes are very harmful to our reputation and no explanations or disclaimers will repair the damage.

On Saturday, April 18, TPBA Circle in Bielsko-Biala celebrated its 20th anniversary. The Holy Mass concelebrated in the Church of Divine Providence (Kosciol Opatrznosci Bozej) was led by the Bishop of Bielsko-Zywiec, Tadeusz Rakoczy. The Divine Providence Parish choir provided a beautiful musical setting to the liturgy.
The Gala Concert “A to Polska wlasnie” given by Zespol Piesni i Tanca “Slask” accompanied this event.

The amendment to the Law on Financial Support for Constructing Social Housing, Protected Apartments, Nightshelters and Houses for the Homeless (Dz. U. No 251 item 1844), passed on December 8, 2006 came into force on April 1.

The 2nd Cultural Week with St. Brother Albert organized by TPBA Circle in Gorzow took place in Gorzow Wielkopolski between 19th and 29th March. Among other things the varied programme included concerts, film projections, exhibitions and lectures. The event was very popular among the citizens.
