On 17 July the Lancut Circle of our Society celebrated its 20th anniversary. Exactly 20 years ago the charity kitchen was opened in the former building of the city bath house. At the beginning it served 30 meals, currently it serves 140 meals. The following facilities are attached to the kitchen: a bath, a medical point, a clothing station, a community day room and an information centre.

The 30th Jubilee Pilgrimage of Przemysl Archdiocese set off to St. Mary of Czestochowa on Sunday, 4th July. Seven inhabitants of the Przemysl St. Brother Albert Shelter also decided to partake. The record holder, Pawel Maroszek, takes part in the pilgrimage for the 15th time.

Best teams from the following countries will take part in the event: Russia, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belgium, Germany and Poland with the National Homeless Team and teams from Poznan, Gdansk, Warszawa and Wroclaw – cities involved in the organization of the Euro 2012.

 

The opening ceremony starts at 9.30 on Saturday, 10th July and the final match begins around 5 p.m. on Sunday. As many as 13 teams are going to play 45 matches, 15 minutes each.

A new circle in Debno (West Pomeranian Province) was set up by the Main Board of TPBA Society on 26 June.  Currently it has 32 members. Mr. Andrzej Sobczak has been elected a President of the TPBA Circle in Debno.

On Saturday 13th June groups of people from different parts of Poland who took part in the annual pilgrimage of our Society gathered in the Ecce Homo Sanctuary in Krakow. Nearly 1000 people from 30 circles arrived, half of them were the inhabitants of our shelters. 

 

It is the only meeting of our Society in which so many people take part. It is a great opportunity to meet people whom we haven't seen for a long time. The participants included: the initiator of our Society Father Jerzy Marszalkowicz, the President of TPBA Bohdan Aniszczyk, members, staff and voluntary workers.
