The newly built Chapel dedicated to St. Brother Albert was consecrated on December 18, 2008 in the shelter for the homeless in Wroclaw (ul. Bogedaina 5). It was consecrated by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Wroclaw Marian Golebiewski, assisted by Dean Miroslaw Ratajczak and Fathers Zdzislaw and Krzysztof from the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
The celebration was proceeded by the erection decree, issued by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Wroclaw, which allows the Most Blessed Sacrament to stay in the chapel. St. Brother Albert’s Chapel should encourage even more citizens and workers of the shelter to participate in the Eucharist as well as create and deepen the spirit of prayer in the shelter. The Archbishop blessed and commended all those who will be praying in the chapel to the loving intercession of St. Brother Albert and Patron Saints of Silesia.
