On Sunday, 29 July, the 5th Homeless World Cup has started in Copenhagen. Over 500 players from 48 countries take part in it. Polish team has participated in the championships since the beginning and achieved great success (second place in 2005!). This year the coach is Roman Boguslawski and organizer of the team is Barka Foundation. Among 8 players, there are 2 occupants of the Wroclaw St. Brother Albert’s night shelter: Tomasz Figlarz and Krzysztof Pawluszko. The Poles have already played 3 matches: on Sunday they defeated Germany 6-2 and today won with Spain 12-1and with Hong Kong 13-2. The championships will last until 4 August.
