On Sunday, in the final of the sixth Homeless World Cup in Melbourne, Australia, the team from Afghanistan defeated Russia 5-4. The team from Ghana, after defeating Scotland, was third. Polish national team took 13th place. As many as 48 teams from different countries took part in the tournament and the number of spectators amounted to 50 thousand. This year 8 national female teams also took part in the Cup, with Zambia wearing the honour of the first Women’s Homeless World Cup Champions. Next year’s tournament will take place in Milan.
