The 34th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia begins on Monday, 14th September. A film by Dariusz Dobrowolski, The Downtrodden (Skopani), will take part in the Independent Competition.
The film is a fictionalized documentary based on true events which took place in November 2006 – battering two homeless men, one of whom was beaten to death. The fact itself that the film was submitted for the competition is a reward. We would like to encourage everyone to see the film in Multikino in Gdynia, at 21 Waszyngtona Street (ul. Waszyngtona 21) on Tuesday 15th September at 12:30 pm or on Friday 18th September at 2:45 pm. Dariusz Dobrowolski is the director of St. Brother Albert’s Shelter in Wroclaw. More information about the film is available on the webpage of TPBA Wroclaw Circle. For more information on the film festival, visit this site http://www.festiwalfilmow.pl/ |
